I had an amazing time and experience on the Jean Lafitte Swamp Tour 7-5-15. Captain John Beasley is a great tour guide. He is very informative and not to mention funny. We decided on Jean Lafitte swamp tours after searching multiple options and opted for the small airboat tour. We drove out to Jean Lafitte swamp ourselves where we were greeted by the swamp your team and quickly loaded onto the boats without delay.
The trip was a perfect experience, from rolling through various routes in the swamp and three separate stops to experience alligators where the captain, Kendall, entertained us interacting with the gators and providing us indepth information on the gators and other animals / swamp life features. Overall the experience was thoroughly enjoyed and i would recommend the tour to any other visitors- a great time! – Michael S
What we enjoyed most about our experience was the fact that we did not see any other tour boat during our excursion. Our group had privately rented the entire boat, which gave us a very casual and very personal tour amongst friends and family. Our guide was fantastic, great accent, and knew many of the alligators personally. We were delighted to see the eleven foot male alligator during our trip. – Nancy Royal Carriages
If your looking to see some gators this is the tour for you. My family purchased a Groupon, that we had no trouble using or making reservations for. Our Captain was Jason, who we highly recommend. He was knowledgeable and experienced. He went out of his way to bring the gators in for my kids to see up close. The best part was the friendly alligator he brought along for the kids to hold and take pictures with. It was a great family trip, with lots of facts and educational fun. – Laura M
Best tour! We were a group of 5 adults visiting New Orleans for a birthday weekend and randomly picked this tour. Our tour guide was fantastic! He handled the various ages on the tour well, and we all had a fun time.
I liked that they focused a bit on conservation and protecting the local wildlife. We got to hold a baby gator, but our guide made sure the gator was treated with care.
Overall we got to see beautiful bayous,gators, and learn about the area and local history. – fxygal14
My husband and I were staying in New Orleans, this place is about a 30 minute drive from where we were but it didn't seem that far and it was absolutely worth it. We made reservations for a Sunday and it wasn't crowded at all. We had plenty of room to move around the boat and we were encouraged to do so. Our captain was very knowledgeable and entertaining. We saw a lot of alligators that day and even got to hold one which was very exciting for everyone onboard. All of the kept gators will be released when they are big enough, I felt good about that. The area we toured was very beautiful. I would definitely recommend this tour to nature lovers or anyone else who wants a change from the city tourist stops. – katbond23
